Hey guys,
This will be my first AR build and I'm stoked. Let me know what you think of my choices and if you would change anything. I will be building it in 300 blackout for the purposes of deer and coyote hunts. The lower will be a Spikes Tactical Complete Punisher Forged Lower w/ Standard Kit - M4 Stock w/ Color Fill. (Link Below) http://www.primaryarms.com/spikes-tactical-complete-punisher-forged-lower-w-standard-kit-m4-stock-w-color-fill-stlc120-sbs The upper will be a Radical Firearms 16" 300 AAC HBAR RADICAL UPPER ASSEMBLY (Link Below) http://www.radicalfirearms.com/product-p/fu16-300hbar-15fhr.htm The optic will be a Leupold VX-1 3-9×40 (Link Below) https://www.leupold.com/hunting-shooting/scopes/vx-1-riflescopes/vx-1-3-9x40mm/ I would love criticism. good and bad. I want this to be a hunting rifle but I will switch optics every now and then I am sure for target shooting and small game hunting. Thanks and God Bless |

Sounds like a good plan...I started out with a 3x9 on my blackout and found it to be too much scope. I switched it out with a 1x4 with an illuminated reticle and love it.
Have you thought of what trigger you want? RRA varmint trigger is a great trigger for the $ |

Anytime, something else to think about, if this is going to be a hunting rifle, is to get an enhanced trigger guard like magpul's enhanced trigger guard. +/- $8 for the polymer +/- $20 for the aluminum.
It will make it easier to access the trigger when your wearing gloves. |
| I just finished my first 300 blk build and picked up the aero precision lower parts kit with trigger and I think I lucked out with the best mil spec trigger out there. So you never know and if you get a cheap mil spec one at least it will fire the rifle until you decide on a nicer trigger that suits you. |
