Hi I just wanted to introduce myself and show off my 1st AR15 build that I just completed. Other than breaking down my handguns to clean I never considered this until a friend suggested it when I said I wanted an AR but couldn't justify the cash outlay. He said I could buy a piece at a time and assemble it as I go. Well, I didn't end up doing that, I bought all the basic parts at one gun show then put it together with the help of online videos and have added a few things in the weeks since. I also spent a lot of time lurking here especially when considering optics.

Looking good. How do you like the optics? I haven't had them at the range yet but so far I have no complaints or regrets. Both are well constructed and seem very durable. The red dot is very clear and seems seems to be plenty bright for use in full sunlight. As far as the magnifier I do get how better eye relief could be a benefit. With the stock fully extended the viewing area is pretty small but its very clear and for the price you can't beat it. |
