I lied, I'm looking to build a basic AR15 carbine on a budget of 500 - 600 dollars. I'm also looking to build an AR15 pistol around the same budget.
I'm new to the AR world, but I have a good understanding thanks to youtube. If somebody could give me some helpful links or stickies to reliable online dealers or quality wholesalers it would be much appreciated. I live in CA (unfortunately) so only semi-auto is my reality. I know how to build them, but I am having trouble finding a reliable website for lower receivers. ANY TIPS FOR A NOOB? |

Welcome to the forum, I have been a member for awhile, though this is my first post. I figured since you're in CA and I built the same kind of rifle I might as well post up here.
Palmetto State Armory, CA compliant lower Palmetto State Armory, PTAC 16" 1/7 5.56 flat top with A2 front post, midlength Palmetto State Armory, PSA carry handle All magpul furniture Came in around $650 by shopping sales, not including shipping and our wonderful state fees |

Just a wee bit more than $600, but close. And BCM quality where it counts!

CA Lower - 200 (order this by itself)
Upper - 200 Bolt Carrier Group - 70 Charging Handle - 14 Rear Sight - 46 If I math correctly, that's $530 before shipping and FFL fee...also no mags, which I would get locally to assure CA compliance. They also have a complete rifle (without rear sight) for $550, but its not CA compliant. |

OP.... If you want inexpensive check this one one out. Add a lower, done.

Built two rifles from these kits on 80% lowers. Solid and a great value.

Check out FatBoyTactical, have bought from them a couple times in the last month or so. Shipping is fast and good prices.
A basic rifle kit $419 shipped (to your house) Stripped Anderson lower $49 shipped (has to ship separately and to an FFL) So you're looking at $468 before whatever you will pay on the lower transfer. ETA: didn't read your whole post...not sure on California legalities. |

"Looking to build a basic AR15" ...... Yeah, that's how it started with me.... I am getting sucked in further and further..... Good Luck!!! No doubt... I had an extra set of FCG pins magically transform into a KISS carbine. Hey, my kid NEEDED his own. And yes, things are good here in my own personal little reality! |
