Hello Everyone. Can Someone decipher the serial number off my AR and tell me something about when the gun was built? serial# 1224671 . Any idea on which version of the XM15 E2S it is?

Welcome. Post pics. E2S is their standard model number and comes in several variations. If it's an older model with the Superlight pencil barrel then they are great shooters. Pics will really help though.

what would you like a picture of specifically? I will get it for you right away? I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me EXACTLY how it was built by the serial number

Only Bushmaster can tell you if it left the factory as a rifle, or just as a lower. If it left as a lower, unless you know the guy that bought and first built it, you'll never know its first configuration.
By serial, the lower was made in the early 2000s.

I am trying to post pictures but I can't find the icon to add a photo. Can someone tell me where it is?

i was told by the dealer that it was a complete Bushmaster… the barrel is marked 5.56 1-9 which i assume is a 1 in 9 twist which is right according to their site.

Upload it to photobucket or whatever your flavor is. Use the icon with the sun and mountain.

If you have a facebook account, you can upload them there and then right-click the image to "copy image location" and then paste the link here.
You can do the same thing if you have a photobucket account too.

Aren't the "good" Bushys(made before they sold out) built with the mfg location of Windham Ma., printed on the side up near the safety selector?
