Not new to guns but new to the AR platform. Had my M&P for a few months now and love it. I got tired of looking for my brass with my Mini 14 over a 1/4 acre when shooting. Now it's within a nice small circle.
I have a Hogan bare lower to build something "better" which is why I'm here. I'm an old fart, retired IT guy, I reload mostly .45 and .223 but I load a bunch more than that. .300WM, 220 Swift, 270, 44 and 357 Mag, 9mm, 380 etc... you get the idea. If it's in my locker I can reload it. Last, I KNOW California sucks. Been here all my life. Kids and most of my remaining family is here. That is probably the only reason I'm still here. Totally feel ya, I'm not new to guns either, however I am fairly new to the AR platform here in SoCal.

I know California has some of the strictest laws especially pertaining to ARs, so just make sure you know what you can and can't have. I know most sites post disclaimers but ultimately it is up to you, the buyer, to make sure you fall within your laws....Sorry you live in Cali, I can't say I know what you are going through as here in Alabama we are a gun loving state!
