Hey all.
As I start down the path of building my first AR, I'm looking for a little advice. First off, if I were to want to build a lefty, I need a lower that is specific for lefty right? Or are they universal? And secondly, any thoughts on this lower for the first project AR? I know there are better ones out there, but looking for a good place to start. http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-amp-action-parts/receivers/lower-receivers/ar-15-stripped-lower-receiver-prod55099.aspx Thanks for your help |

To answer your first question, the lower receiver is going to have right handed controls. You can get an ambi safety selector, or you could go with a ambi lower. The primary difference on a left handed AR is the location of the ejection port and the BCG. As to your second question regarding the quality of the lower you linked I can't answer as I don't have any experience with that particular manufacturer, but perhaps someone else who does will chime in. |

As a fellow lefty, you do not need anything different on your intended AR other than the ambi controls of your choice on the lower. I generally use an ambi selector and sometimes an ambi bolt catch/release. I do always require a shell deflector on the upper though... |

Check this out.
Link Really cool but pricey. May not be the best for 1st build as it is far from basic. Did I mention how cool it is? |
