| whats difference between a1 and a2 ? |
|
The Twist rate on the A2 changed to 1 in 7 to shoot the new M855 ammo and tracer, and the mil models went to a 3 round burst instead of full auto. Thats the only hard and fast.
A1 is 1 in 14 or 1 in 12; shoots M193 full auto. A2 is 1 in 7; shoots M855 in 3 round burst. The sights, handguards, stocks, grips, etc... Are pretty well covered above, but were blurred and appeared on both models. Theres an old Colt ad with A1 with the new adjustable sight and commercial A2 models that still used the simpler A1 sights. The round handguards were no strangers to A1s etc. for instance i think it was hickock45s A2 youtube review drew alot of flak because his old bushy had A1 sights. But he bought it new back in the day, when the A2 was new and it had the faster twist. So it all goes... |

Quoted: To answer the next question... A3 is an A2 with A1 FCG...Safe, semi, auto A4 is back to safe, semi, burst, quad rail handguards, flat top railed upper. M4 is a shorter A4 with collapsable stock M4A1 is a shorter A3 with collapsable stock |
