It is nice to have a new section here dedicated to helping newer people who are not super familiar with the AR platform. I hope the information given to help and assist new people is credible, as at times there is a spew of info which is less than credible when guys are posting about things they have heard, and don't actually know to be true.

Thanks in advance for this section. I'm newer to this platform. I didn't grow up around guns. I don't have a military background. Though, my family does. I've also married into a family that takes their firearms and training very seriously. I joined this sight last year to learn, research, and just bullshit with folks. People have been a great help. I on my third and fourth build (well, I've ordered the cans for them and sbr'ing the lowers), and I can see no end in sight. I'm shooting as much as I can. And I'm learning from and experienced group of people. This is really fun. "Build it Yourself" and the discussion boards have been good. I'm sure ill learn a lot from this one as well. So, thanks again.

Excellent forum for newbies to the AR platform and introduction to our ARFCOM website!........
This forum can be used as a .....starting point.....for the entire site. Newbies will be less intimidated with everything. To all the newbies: Take your time and surf the entire website. You'll soon discover that the entire site is truly a...treasure trove...of useful information. |
