I just bought an colt A2 upper less barrel of EE here.
What would I expect to pay for a Colt A2 lower?
Thanks

Have you considered any other lowers? Maybe the PSA "Stealth" lower? They do make for a very clean lower.

Here is the A2 I build with the PSA "Stealth" lower.

If you are just wanting the Colt for the name, then expect to pay a higher price ($300-$500) for one.

I'm in the same boat.  I say whenever possible try to pair it up with a Colt lower.  I'm still looking for the right one.

It just seems silly to pay a lot of money just for the Colt rollmark. The lower is no better than any other forged lowers. For those that are wanting the Colt rollmark just to have it, I say have at it. It is different if you are buying or building a 100% Colt AR or building a correct clone, otherwise, to me, it is a waste of good money.

Here's one in the EE. I was looking at it but won't be able to start another project for a while.

I'm one of those dudes who likes to have a Colt rollmark.  For this rifle I'd also prefer a Lower marked AR-15 A2 if possible but I haven't seen any like that that aren't large pin.

I just like stuff how I like it and I don't mind paying a little extra to get it.  I don't think I mentioned it but my upper is a surplus Colt M16A2 upper.

Sorry OP, I didn't intentionally hijack your thread.

His other option is to get a 80% lower, mill it out, have it engraved with all of the Colt markings and then anodized.

You could look for a ban-era LE "assault weapon" but they aren't real easy to find. This has the small pivot pin (if you're talking about that rather than FCG pins) though it wasn't originally drilled for a detent on the right side. Since taking the pictures, I had that taken care of by Specialized Armament and it now has a standard push pin.

I would like to have a colt A2 lower but  if I couldn't find one a a decent price ban era included then oh well.
That PSA stealth lower looks good.
Also I seen that McKay lower for sale here I would consider that possibility
Thank you
Tom

Not sure if you've seen these Receivers, but they DO say COLT on the left side, and cost $150.

Here's a link from the Lower Receiver's For Sale section of the EE.

I just went on their site and did not find it either, so I called them. They guy I spoke with (Jacob) looked and said that they do not show any right now. He said it is possible they may offer them again this year, but for now, they are out. Oh well. I was hoping to give you better news.

I just received an email from Primary Arms, today, stating that these Colt Receivers were on Sale for $79.99.  I got real busy and was unable to post.

Great Deal in my opinion.

I'm a bit leary about this deal because these do NOT look like the traditional Colt lowers.  Instead of the roll-mark, these look like they're laser or CNC engraved.  I wonder if Colt sub-contracted someone to churn out these lowers for them.  Anyway, who ever ordered these, let us know if how they work out.

From Colt Competition website. "Colt's Competition Series are licensed products of New Colt Holding Corp., and are manufactured under License by BOLD IDEAS TEXAS."

These are not actual "Colt" lowers but a cheap way to get the logo without having to get custom engraving.
