[ARCHIVED THREAD] - A2 stock question

I should be able to use an A2 stock shell from a .308 rifle on a 5.56 rifle as long as I buy a 5.56 receiver extension, buffer and spring, correct?

The A2 stock shells are the same size, correct?

A2 stock (shell) is the same. The receiver extension is the same. I believe the buffer spring is different, and possibly the buffer. My suggestion would be to research the parts and you will find out what is the same or different, and go from there.

correct ^. stock and extension are same. buffer and spring are different. i run a normal cavarms C1 on my 308.
