I need to select a stock to complete my A2 Sniper build.  I have a RRA lower with 2 stage trigger pull and a DPMS upper with a 20" free floated stainless bull barrel. I mounted a 4x-16x Nikon Monarch glass using a LaRue LT104.  Thanks to this site for recommending the LaRue mount.  It is extremely heavy duty.  I was able to make a 1/2"group at 100yds using 55grFMJ ammo, a 30rd mag, and an a4 collapsible carbine stock. I ordered a 10rd mag. I intend to stretch it out to 400yds or so. I am considering the MAGPUL PRS stock but I'm curious if anyone else has any suggestions. My main issue is not the stock length, but losing scope picture due to cheek position.

The PRS is good, but heavy.

I'm currently on the same track by design.

After asking quite a few questions, I have a Magpul PRS on the way ($188) when SKDTAC.com held a 24 hr bin Laden special of 25% off one item. My carbine has a suppressor and a guy who was ripping .308s into essentially the same hole shot my carbine with a Geisselle trigger and said my standard telescopic stock was a problem.

I also have used the LT-104 for a year and it is real close to zero after being taken off, but not always solid-zero-perfect. I just need 2-3 clicks on each knob to be zeroed at times. I have wondered if using a cheek weld might improve my shooting platform and also if the .43 higher axis, also on a 30mm 4-10 Monarch Gold Scope, with the LaRue Tactical SPR/M4 1.93" Mount QD LT-135 might be the best one. I do have two 1/2" risers and will elevate the scope and see. If so, I'm hoping if it is preferable to mount the scope higher that I can get at least 75% of the price of the LT-104 to put towards the LT-135.

As to attaching the PRS, would you know if the Brownell buffer, spring, and tube at $38 is perfectly fine to mount such an expensive stock to an AR15, or is there a premium component that might ensure a better connection? This lower, due to the stock and the trigger, will also be shooting a LWRC 6.8spc upper as well.

Thanks,
Walsh
