I'm building a standard 20-inch A2, nothing fancy. I've got my lower half done, and have been eyeing one of these two uppers.
This one, with the A2 handle and this Bushmaster National Match. I have no real preference for Gov. profile over HBAR. I know Del-Ton has an affordable upper, but I bought a set of their A2 forward hand guards to play around with on a A1 and the fit and finish sucked. Even when piecing them together off the gun, they didn't lock tightly together and I felt the overall diameter was fatter than other A2s I've seen. |

If you call Bushmaster, they'll put an A2 or Gov't barrel on that A2 upper for no additional charge for you. I've built a few rifles with their 1x9 Gov't profile barrels (IIRC they also offer 1x7) and they all shoot pretty nice. |
