Could we get a thread going of all the different types of A2 (using the A2 style upper) variants out there? Maybe some pictures, historical information and defining characteristics of each?
Maybe there's a resource like this already out there. It'd be helpful for those of us in the process of collecting parts for builds. |

Here is a 1994 Colt upper The barrel does not have a F fsb but does have the taller Front sight post, the barrel also has a date code of 51...(Barrel is "O" marked near the chamber) and the barrel extension is "4" marked. The M4 handguards are the early type with NON glued double shields. The upper is "M4" marked with feedramps 
Here are are the handguards... left current, middle early M4, right 727COTS/CAR/etc.
