I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for my A2 build. I am building a weapon similar to the mid to late 80's Colt M4/A2 carbine. I have the correct mini stock but it's somewhat small. Here's my RRA A2/M4 lightweight profile. RRA Upper, RRA lower, Delton 16", 556 lightweight nitride 1.9 w/non f marked FSB She's a bit over gassed as the cases are hitting the ejection port at the foot of the deflector and flying forward to the 2 o clock-ish area. (You can see the anno wearing off where the cases are hitting) I run Winchester 223 55gr, I have a B Kings DLC BCG, H2 buffer. (Doesn't matter if I run a O-Ring, D-Ring, or no 0-Ring, H3 really doesn't change either. Ugggg I just ordered a Wolff Colt AR15/M16 Carbine Extra Power XP Action Buffer Spring in hopes it slows down the BCG a bit.

My Comp M2 is flickering under recoil and it's related to the battery compartment, so I pulled it and the rail off. I also used a piece of Weaver rail i got from another arfcom member and moved my Shekkin Surefire knockoff to a more clone correct position. Attached File |

Was left unsupervised and this minty Colt R6550 that I've been hunting after for a while followed me home I swapped out the factory fcg for old school purple SSA. Everything else are left untouched.     |

Picked up this H&R Government M16A2 Carbine upper to go on an old Lauer Custom Weaponry lower I had stashed away. Scratches my A2 itch and is a nice substitute for a Colt 6520 I let go many years ago. Stock is M&A Parts, pistol grip is Colt, and the handguards are H&R retro six-hole. |
