I saw this Troy Tomahawk Stock and it looks amazing and very well made.
Anyone in here know if this stock works for HK MR223? And does it require its own BCG or can I just use HK's original BCG? |

It's unclear if you have a MR556 because here are some "facts" about the upper (and lower):
1) If you buy just the upper it comes with a propitiatory buffer and spring. The buffer is extra strong and the buffer is extra heavy. The reason for this is that the piston puts extra wear on the spring and eventually wears it out. The only surviving spring is the Sprinco extra heavy duty springs. 2) You cannot swap bolts or carriers. The parts are propitiatory and I highly doubt HK would license out their design for others to copy. 3) For short PDW style stocks it comes with a item that you attach to the end of the carrier hole. This is what acts as a guide and follows into the receiver. Overall I don't recommend deviating from a carbine length buffer and using PDW stocks that are not HK approved items. While you can use them, the part will wear out sooner and cause damage to a very expensive upper. My recommendation is to get HK's PDW stock if you want to go with such a build. You can find it on some websites like HK parts. |
