Anyone got one? I've been reading a few reviews but not many people know about them or have them. Just digging for info on this rifle, it sounds and looks like a cool setup.

Thanks

Flash in the pan during the short lived competition for New Military weapon contract....look at PWS Piston closely, PWS has more selection....IMHO

I just recently purchased the 18" model, very well made CNC machined upper and lower. The 18 and 20 inch models have chrome lined heavy mag particle tested FN barrels.  Shorter barrels are M4 profile, not sure who makes these.  I believe these are the only full floating barrel gas piston system rifles.  The gas system is in the upper rail of the floating hand guard.  My only complaint is that I needed to shim the upper and lower to remove a little play.  But I think this is a problem with any mass produced AR.  Haven't had a chance to test with hand loads.

I thought that all of their barrels were chrome lined fnh barrels.  Have you shot it with factory ammo at all? I'd like to hear what you end up with for handloaded ammo.

How would you compare them with a gas impingement system?

I love mine.  I think it's a very underrated weapon.

I think they are over rated piston guns with 2 charging handles. Don't get me wrong, they are well made and will serve you well. If you don't want to spend the extra money a Sig 516 will serve you just as well for less.
I am always amazed at how people try to improve on the AR ambi charging handle. Having used this system for 20 years both in the field and on the range it is pretty well bullet proof. I can charge it from any angle or position with either hand. Yet folks still seem to think it needs improvement.

I'm surprised they're still in business.

Switched? I still own my bear and I still like it. Don't put words in my mouth.
