First thanks for all the help here.  I do have a question though.  The buffer tube weight doesn't have the PWS symbol on the face of it.  Is this ok or is something amiss?  Here are the pics

Congratulations!  Looks nice!  I wouldn't worry about the PWS logo on the buffer.  If you have time, show us some pics of the piston system!

Sorry I'm a noob.  What are Legos?  In any event I don't have anything yet.  I don't even have ammo. :)

Finally went shooting with this AR.  Shot 90 rounds.  I am wondering if this is normal?  Where is this grease coming from?  Take a look at this pic.

Must have been shipped w/ grease on it.  There's no grease dispenser in an AR.    Someone will be along to market one shortly.

The instructions say don't oil the piston.  Do you think it is ok to clean it with Froglube?  How should I clean it?  CLP is oily too.

So then you don't agree with them saying don't oil the piston?  Why not?  Are you also against using Froglube on it?

I don't know who them is, but unless your manufacturer tells you not to oil the piston, I would lube it.  I'm not familiar w/ Froglube, but it seems like it's becoming popular around here.  I use Militec or Rem Oil.

ETA:  I see your manufacturer tells you not to oil the piston.  Don't oil it then.  If Froglube is an oil, don't put it on the piston.
