I would like to buy the AA .750 Lite ki but I can't get a straight answer about a handrail that will cover over the gas piston block but still gain access to the adjuster knob.

I've seen that Midway has a sale on the Lite kit and only on their site it states that you can get a handrail over the gas/piston block with a little physical adjusting of the handrail.

I have a midlength gas system.  1. What length of rail will I need to cover the gas block?  2. What are the handrails that have worked that will clear the piston rod and not effect the handrail after grinding and filing it?

Please help me out here.  I've been dying to convert to a Gas Piston system but do not want the gas piston block showing in front of the handrail.

The .750 will not work on any free float hand guards because it won't fit form center bore.  The one for light weight  barrels will. I would just wait for the xlp to drop. Also for mid length 11" rails cover the gas block a still allow you to adjust the settings.

So I'm guessing the XLP is a new Low Profile gas piston block/kit that will allow installation of free float handrails over the block?

The new XLP Gas Block will work under most all Industry rails on the market.

Thanks,

wait.. in the industry forums, it was mentioned by AA that it would be 4-6 weeks from the date the comment was posted (01/28/14). When you say Summer, you talking like June or later like August? Damn I thought this was about to be released.
