I am looking at one of the POF .308 piston upper receivers, and I was curious if anyone could tell me whether the POF upper will fit together with a Rock River Arms LAR-8 lower receiver. I have a bunch of FAL magazines, and I want to use them in an AR platform that is piston driven.

Thanks

It will not.
The POF upper will pin to DPMS style lowers however the rear takedown pin hole is a standard .223/5.56

RRA recievers are proprietary

If you really want a POF upper its well worth matching it to a POF lower
keep in mind POF 308 lowers use standard AR15 lower parts kits and triggers, stripped lowers come with the larger front pin set and
all proprietary ambi parts..

sometimes its cheaper to buy a production/complete rifle and refine to suit your wants..

So a POF 308 upper will slap right onto a DPMS lower and function perfectly fine? I been trying to get the answer to this question for a long time, just wanna confirm. A long while back I seen a POF 308 lower with a DPMS upper on it and that lead me to believing that they would fit together but I was never really sure or certain.

The reason I wanted to use the RRA lower is it takes a FAL magazine. POF lowers don't take FAL magazine.

I am trying to get a good quality piston AR in .308 that uses the same magazines as my FAL's. As far as I know, RRA doesn't make a piston rifle.
