Is there any free float rail out there that work with the Osprey Piston System and still give you access to the op rod for cleaning?

FF is clamp on or spin on, so no FF will give you "easy" access to an Osprey system. IMHO, the only upside to the Osprey (vs others) is that is can utilize a stock A2 fsb.  Almost every other piston system is a "pull though" system (does not require handguard removal). However, if you have an Osprey with a low pro gas block and  FF, you'll be either spinning off (or unclamping) that FF to get to the piston system since it does NOT pull through.
IMO, the Osprey is the best solution for keeping the "stock" look (w/handguards) and the worst option for FF handguards.
If your FF has lots of holes and slots, maybe you could spray it? Not the same as a scrub down, but maybe better than nothing?

I used a two piece quad rail (non-FF) from Midwest Industries.  It worked for me.

Its an old thread, but it may give you some information that might be helpful, i.e the functional radius of the osprey piston / barrel assembly. This can give you an idea of current handguards that have inner diameters large enough to accommodate the osprey.

I use a MI SS FF 2" OD rail with Osprey Piston system.
Since the FF barrel nut will be different, you will also need to order a special FF op.rod from Osprey directly.

Please see this link. Ar15.com seems to have developed a skinny rail that is can clear an OPS piston head.

do you have any pics?  I'm really am considering this one.   MI shows that the ID is 1.75 and the diagram shows a minimum clearance of 1.8 required.

Just curious.
