I just picked up my new MK110. Im thinking about cutting the handguard back to where the gas valve is but not past it, mostly a looks thing, mabe a little weigth too. PWS says the warrantee for the handguard would be void, no biggie to me, its just a handguard.

It does not look like the end supports anything regarding the barrel, any reason why I shouldnt, I know, I cant leave anything alone.

On a Mod1 or on the older Mod0?

On the Mod1, you'll lose warranty but that's all. On a Mod0, the gas block has a dwell chamber extending forward inside the block. If you trim that upper part of the hand-guard too far back you'll expose the dwell chamber. The side and lower parts can be trimmed back to the gas block with no problem except losing warranty.

Mod 1, looking at it , nothing touches where I would cut it and its all free floated. No biggie on warranty loss of the hanguard, long as they honor the actual guts.
