I am interested in converting my latest build to piston but I have a 12 inch Samson rail on it with a low profile gas block that I would like to keep. I have see a pic of the Osprey kit under a troy rail and my Samson uses a stock barrel nut so should it be fine, or need some slight modification?
I do also own a AA upper and like it, I just want the longer rail Thanks |
| It wont fit under an Alpha rail, there was a guy who did it to the MRF rail. YOu pretty much have to dremmel the entire inside of the rail down to next to nothing. and even then he had some clearance issues. The spikes/Seekins Bar rail fit with no issues. Vltor Cas-V with 2 minor dremmel spots, Midwest Industries piston rail no mods needed. Magpul MOE handguards will fit. |
| Thanks for all the responses. I'm looking at the seekins bar. I already have the samson evolution rail so I might try it first. The diameter on the bar is 1.8 and the diameter on the samson is 1.75. If I didn't have the samson and it's already coated in burnt bronze I would by the bar to be safe. |
