Hi All! On this AA upper I'd like to install a Samson 7-XT with a 4 inch extension. I know I need to Dremel off the the spring loaded rail catch, but I will also need to temporarely remove the gas block. As you can see from the photo's it's pinned. Do the pins tap out in any certain direction? Thank you for any help!!! Jon

I sent off an email to Adams Arms asking for help on the removal as well. In the meantime I've disassembled the piston and cut off the spring loaded rail holder....

Find out what side the taper pins are in then drift them out and your good to go.

The pins in the gas block are not taper so they can come out either way. We found it to be easier and better to remove the pins left to right (driving pins from the side without the logo) using a punch the size of the pin. If you need anymore assistance please email us at [email protected]

The pins should not be tapered. I have an older AA designed gas block that had straight pins to secure it.  BTW, I have the Spike/AA gas piston when Spike had there gas piston builds.

Thank you, Jacob! The pins popped right out with a 5/32 knockout punch and an air hammer.
From left to right. To be continued.
