Anyone have any issues with Adams Arms customer support? I have an issue on a new piston upper. I called and emailed but have not received any response.

Little slow on their call backs but they do have good customer service. On one of my uppers the barrel nut was backing out, the upper had the samson rail and I didnt want to punch the pins out of the block to remove the rail to tighten down the barrel nut. So I called Adams Arms and they took care of me and also paid the shipping both ways. Very Happy Jason who was the one whome took care of me and this is his email below.

Post it on their Facebook page and watch them respond quick.... They don't like complaints on their page Thanks. That will be my next step. They troll through here, so I got an e-mail. We will see how it's handled. I'm willing to give AA the benefit of the doubt, we will just see if the third time really is a charm...... |

They responded the next day, and got an email based on my post here as well.
The issue is the forward assist literaly popped out during function test. No shots fired, simply worked the action and trigger a couple times (retracted bolt, released, pulled trigger) and the FA popped out across the room. Roll pin in tact, I can push the FA back into the hole, press it full forward and after working the action a couple times, the FA can be pulled out with little force. At first blush, my assumption is the FA hole or roll pin hole is off spec enough to prevent it from retaining the FA in the upper. I emailed back and forth a few times with Jacob, even sending some photos. He responded with an RA label to send it to them. He's been very helpful and appologetic for the issue. I'll update when I get the upper back. The worst part is, I had just gotten the final pieces on (optics, BUIS) when this issue showed up....Oh well...hopefully the zombie apocolypse wont happen until after I get it back....maybe I can catch up on loading that 1000 rounds of military brass I still have in the paint bucket... |

I guess given the current events of everyone trying to get an AR at the last minute, things have gotten screwy for a lot of companies. I'll say that Jacob and I began with some communications issues. That's probably because he's trying to do too many things at once and is a bit overwhelmed.
With that being said, AA squared me the hell away. They more than made the problem right. I am more than satisfied. No complaints here. |

Just heard from Jacob this AM, they will have my upper swapped out and on the way back to me today.
As I suspected, the roll pin hole was drilled just enough out spec to keep it from fully engaging the shoulders on the forward assist to retain it in the upper. I told Jacob that I understood they were probably at max capacity with everything going on and I appreciated them standing behind their product and taking care of this in lieu of getting more out the door to be sold. This will probably be the last AR I build until the world calms down - always wanted a piston gun. Cant wait to shoot it and see how it feels compared to a similar sized gas gun. |
