Just curious, saw 2 piston systems of Adam Arms, first 1 was marked GB1-some numbers and the other one was marked GB4-6566. Is there any difference in these 2 or its just the batch marking, and if there is a difference then what is it.

Please enlighten me with your knowledge.

The GB1 is a Retro Fit Kit, the GB4 is a pinned gas block that if marked Adams Arms on the GB/Upper Recvr and carrier chances are came from us. That is the only difference between the two gas blocks to answer your particular question.

I'm interested in replacing the junk plastic handguards on a 5.45 upper I am about to receive with some Samson 7ex evo rails I have left over from another project.

Can the pins on the the pinned GB4 gas block be punched out from one side to the other, or is it dremel time on the entire gas block when the upper arrives?

To follow up on the adam arms question.

Could you guys let me know which Free Float quad rails will work with the adam arms piston system?

Right now I have a Bushmaster Carbine Heavy Barrel with a Midwest Industries T-Series 1 piece Free Float Quad Rail.
I did some research and the AA piston won't work with the MI Quad Rail.

So my new solution is I'm gonna pick up an Adam Arms Midlength upper.

Looking for a good free float quad rail.  Preferably 1 piece.  The lighter weight the better.

Thanks guys!

I found that also.

I've narrowed it down to the Troy listed above.  The Daniel Defense omega rail, or a Midwest Industries Rail.

I already have one MI rail and I really like it.

Basically I'm just debating if paying twice the price for a Daniel Defense rail is worth 2 ounces lighter and a 1/2" narrower.  I'm leaning towards no. LOL

I have three of the Samson evolutions, and really like not having the bottom rail...unless I want to bolt it on.

The Samson Evolution rail is amazingly light and extremely ridged. It dissipates heat really well and the price is fantastic.
