So I'm looking at a Adams Arms Lite Piston Conversion Kit, I was wondering if the gas block can be pinned to the barrel?
I was also wondering if anyone out there has can provide information on the POF roller cam pin. Is it any good?
Here's a parts list of what I need. I'm using a VLTOR CASV-M.
Adams Arms .750 Lite Piston Conversion Kit - Midlength
Rainier Arms Match .223 Wylde Barrel - 14.5
Rainier Arms Thunder Bolt
POF .223 Roller Cam Pin
Delta Ring Assembly
Firing Pin
Cotter Pin
I'm not interested in buying a LWRC or PWS upper - thanks : )

The lite gas block can be pinned so long as you find a competent gunsmith who's decent at machining.  Of course that'll void the warranty.

You may want to consider installing the system correctly (proper spacing from bc anvil to drive rod).  Removing the set screws and marking the barrel where the screws are.  Dimple the spots with a press and put the screws back with some loctite.  This will keep the warranty intact and make sure the block won't slip forward (Though it shouldn't anyway).

The POF roller cam pin will not reduce wear in the upper receiver as I have installed it on many fresh upper builds.  It does smoothen out the movement though which is nice.

AA has pinned blocks on their complete uppers, but I'm not sure if they offer them for sale as a conversion.

Rainier arms has the mid and rifle length standard Adams Arms conversions that use a clamp on GB in stock for $280.

When I was considering a piston conversion, all they had was the lite kits in stock, and I was concerned that the setscrewed GB could walk forward, and have read at least one report of it happening.
Yes the barrel can be dimpled for the setscrews to prevent that, but at the time I went with the Osprey kit instead.
The Osprey kit has  functioned perfectly for me but cost me more to put on since I had to buy a GB (went with a YHM clamp on) and replace the terrible handguards that came with the kit with magpul MOEs (which are excellent for a dropin HG IMHO).
Note that I'm not knocking Osprey for the handguards... I'm certain they have a 3rd party mold them and are at the mercy of that supplier's QC... but Joe at Osprey even sent me a 2nd set that had the same terrible mismatch as those included with the kit, so I gave up and bought the MOE.

Also there is the issue of limited compatibility with FF HGs with the Osprey kit.
Of course I could build another gun with an AA kit, but my safe filled up too fast.

Sorry if it seemed I hijacked the thread.

I did build a rifle with a 20" barrel where I dimpled the barrel for the GB J&T included with the barrel... it worked out pretty nice and is a fine solution if you want to take the time.
