I want to be able to use 2 uppers on my lower.  My current upper is a Colt A1 with the 20" rifle length barrel using the standard rifle buffer.
My new upper will be a more tactical build sporting the BCM BFH 16" mid length barrel and an Adams Arms piston kit.
Will i need to change buffers?  I was thinking the mid length barrel will have a higher port pressure and may still cycle the heavy rifle buffer.
What are your thoughts?  Thanks,
Mike

You'll be fine, but eventually you'll end up building another lower.  It's impossible not to

I think Josh is right, you will end up building another lower with collapsible stock.

My first purchase years ago was a DI 20" bushy rifle with a standard stock. i recently purchased from Midway a AA 16 midlength piston. i have been using my original lower on the new upper. The new 16" upper is working fine with the old rifle lower. i had a couple of failure to feed issues with the first couple of magazines but after that break in period everything has been good to go. i just ordered a collapsible stock lower from PSA's that is being delivered to a local FFL this week.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.  A new lower will eventually come, but only once my wallet fattens up a bit.

You can use the same buffer (unless you're running some funky buffer to begin with)
