| Love those guys. Built a 6.8 upper not long ago. Could not get the upper to run right. Had to manually cycle new round in. Called AA to see if we could figure out what the problem was. I thought maybe my buufer was too stiff. They thought so also. I was going to try out a new buffer, but it was gonna take a few days. AA rep called me the next day and said to go ahead and send it in and they will diagnose the problem. I called a few days later and he said that they think the problem is the gas port size. I was hoping that the problem was not the barrel as it was a very expensive Ultra Match that i already had pinned. Anywho, the upper showed back up yesterday. No charge for the work i guess. I have to email the cust service rep to find out what the problem was. This was a upper that i built. customer service rep was Matthew Pittard by the way |

i had a stupid question on my Daniel defense/Adams Arms after i went out and shot it. the piston was stuck in the gas block, i had put gun oil on the piston and rod and after it cooled off caused the piston to stick. i was able to get the thing apart then called their customer service, they were profesional and didn't talk down to me. i thanked the rep. for his insight and advice and felt lucky i was dealing with a company that cares about it customers i have dealt with several companies that have been downright rude and flat out smart asses on the phone. the reason i built a second Adams Arms rifle was the way i was treated on the phone by the rep. |

with todays economy,
and the fact that every AR mfg/parts mfg out there wants to get to the top of the dung heap & stay there (regardless of the individual price point) those companies that are willing to go that extra step and treat customers the way they should be treated, they will be the ones that are still in the game when all is said & done Quoted:

| diverman, did you find out what the problem was? I'm having a similar problem with a mid 6.8 um rainer setup. I thought the gas block to barrel hole might have been off, but after checking it was dead center. Then I was thinking it might have been the heavy duty springco buffer and extractor springs I installed. I changed everything back but won't be seeing any range time for a couple weeks. I was wondering about the hole size in barrel but couldn't find the specs anywhere. Thanks for any info. |

I have read several posts from people who buy rainier barrels and the gas ports need opening. They also replaced the OP rod and looks like the gas plug with ones that had a better finish |

Yeah, thats what I was thinkin. I will give the old springs a try in a couple of weeks. If that don't cure it I'll get in touch with AA. I have 3 other AA kits and they all work flawlessly, so I was a little confused. Though after break in I was getting clover leafs with 120sst single fed |

I’m more of a reader on here then a poster but when it comes to Adams Arms I have to say something. I use the mid length piston system on my very first build about two years ago. Since it was my first build I really had almost no clue what I was doing. I called them about their product, and spent a good 30-45 mins playing 20 questions. Never once did they make me feel not welcomed on the phone.
I was a little nervous putting it on myself so I took it to a local gun shop. They said “Hell No” and that they wouldn’t put it on because it was “not worth the time, piston systems are crap, and they have all kinds of problems”. SO, I got on YouTube found a video and in two hours it was on. Only took so long because I watched the video like 8 times. Since then ive NEVER had a problem with the system; always preformed flawless. I’ll be using one for my next build. Adams Arms: A+ product and customer service. |
