I'm looking into getting a Piston AR upper and I don't know much about them.
I don't really want to spend an armand a leg any suggestions? |

Adam Arms Now that that's out of the way, what are you looking for? Are you planning to run carbine length, mid, or full length? Do you already have a lower, and if so, do you already have an upper that you can use a drop in system with rather than replace the whole upper? What do you consider an arm and leg? |
| i have searched around,,,,,,and my finding is this... People are pretty happy with the adams arms upper. the only "problems" i have read about were from ppl retrofitting their uppers....and it was usually resolved quickly. Your next problem.....try to find one.....I waited along time, |

I went PWS and feel it is the best choice even at the same money.
It is, however, much less than the others. Please note, you can choose from any LWRC, LMT or POF in any variation as they are available in stock. PWS, However, will be a 10 week wait because every time someone shoots a friend's he runs down and places an order and they can not keep up. LWRC etc are fine weapons, not doubt. But, pick one up and then a PWS and you will quickly feel the more neutral balance of the PWS Wulfmann |

I shot a PWS Mk 114 and LWRC M6A2 on consecutive days. The PWS had a much smoother recoil impulse. Its handguards really heat up if you don't have XT panels, however. I have to assume that is correct as I would not know as the photo might indicate why that is. I do not use any of the rail handguards without something to hold (I also aolmost never have the 3X magnifier on it either) Wulfmann http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/Wulfmann/Gewher-FS/left-2.jpg Gas blocks on piston guns get very hot. The gas stops there, whereas it goes back through the gas tube on a DI gun. I'm 6'4" so I tend to extend my grip forward......right by the gas block
