I need an AA BC, I have a buddy that has a TNW BC, does anyone know if these might be interchangeable. I suspect not, but he is offering it REALLY cheap to me. TIA. |
First thing I'd look at is if the anvil on the carrier is cupped or flat. The AA BC has a flat anvil whereas LWRC and LMT do not. If it was flat, then I'd remove the drive rod spring and bushing and check the play when the BC is in full battery. If you have to adjust the gas block a little to get it into spec then it'll probably work. If it's in spec... you can give it a shot, but keep in mind that you just voided your AA limited lifetime warranty. 
People have used the AA carrier in POF and SR556's with modification to the anvil. I believe some people have also modified their drive rods to accommodate the new carriers too. |
