It is an Adams Arms kit, pre carrier.  Not a bad deal if you can find a cheap one piece carrier for cheap. (like I'm looking for)

Get one with a BC.

These come with the bolt carrier.  http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop%2Fmanufacturer&manufacturer=87

Also look at Osprey.

I've actually thought of attaching with the red locktite, AND epoxying the carrier.  maybe even weld, grind.

I do think there there serious advantages on the dedicated carriers as they hare the "skis" etc to limit carrier tilt.  My extrat is going on a 6.8spc and won't be shot that much so I have time to find a dedicated carrier.

Working loose is one thing but it is also known that a seperate key can break right off, a solid carrier is the only way to go IMO.

I have one of the ones with the attached key. I'll upgrade when I get the money, but I'm not worried about ti for now

I have one. They come with the two piece carrier and a two piece push rod. The piston seems to be the same as the newer models. I had to drill out the small guide that presses in to the upper receiver as it was too tight and would not cycle. It comes with locktite and detailed instructions. I have had
no carrier tilt issues and that seems to be hit or miss with the old style AA kits. Mine performs great and it is a good low cost option. However, I would opt for the Osprey kit if I could do it over. Mostly because of no front sight on the AA kits.

I bought one for a 7.5" just to see if it would work since I've been having massive cycling issues without dumping a ton of money into. I ordered from cdnn. I figured at the least I bought a $200 hand guard.   They're website says they're made by AA so i called and talked to a guy at AA. Well he said they made a batch up to American tacticals specs or whatever and I asked if the AA parts would be compatible.  Well they were so i went ahead and ordered.  I received it and it was an actual AA kit just without the carrier. It cycles great but I am getting a bit of tilt however now that i see it works great I'm going to spend the money on th AA carrier. If it were for anything other than a 7.5" I'd go ahead and buy one with the carrier for $100 more.

I've obligated myself to a "used" ATI kit, I'll need to get a Carrier at some point as well as that guide.  Anybody know if they can be had cheaper than $145 on AA.net?  Thanks.
