I currently own a Ruger SR-556 and am overall very pleased with the quality of this rifle. However, i have noticed a slightly heavier trigger pull than i would like. What would the best choice as far as performance, price, and ease of installation be for my rifle. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you are just worried about the weight of pull and the creep is fine, consider the JP yellow trigger springs.  $10 and they are very easy to install.

I am very impressed with the performance of the SR556 so I thought I will put a Chip McCormick tactical trigger in mine and use KNS anti rotation pins instead of the pins that uses c clips and comes with the Chip McCormick kit.
Here are pics from the installation:

I installed the KNS anti rotation pins in my ruger and that modification alone improved the trigger pull and release.

I went to the range with my SR556C equipped with the same Chip McCormick/KNS pin setup pictured earlier. Two lanes away from me was someone with a stock SR556.
I almost forgot how the stock trigger feels.  Its a pretty heavy trigger.  I let the person try my SR556C, told him about the trigger work done and shoot some rounds, he turned to me and said about the trigger:
"Thats hella awesome"!
I'm glad 'cause it cost me a few bucks to set this up.

I put an Alexander Arms tactical trigger kit in mine, and have been VERY pleased.

A trigger mod is the area that I think the Rugers will benefit most. That stock trigger pull is not too nice.

^^^^ What does the two screws you tighten do?  Located in the self enclosed unit for the Timney Trigger?  What happens if they were to loosen?

Just curious as the Chip McCormick does not have these two screws inside of the unit.
