I have one on my 16" carbine and have had no problems.I think its the best system for the dollar and
no need to remove your frt sight base.If you dont have a barrel yet get one that is .875" under the handguards
and then you wont have to use the spacers.Mike

I've got a TNW kit on my Stag carbine.  I have had it for about 4 months and have only shot about 250 rounds through it.  It works fine for me  I really like the fact that you don't have to remove the front sight assembly.  I have a government profile barrel and had to use the spacers.  It was easy to bolt up but I wish the spacers were machined a little better.  The only other drawback I see with it is once you get everything bolted up it doesn't seem like you can get the operating rod away from the piston cup to clean anything.  I guess it is self cleaning and doesn't need any maintenance??  (I never really clean my AK pistons so I guess not)  I got the nickel plated kit with the Glacier handguards.  I don't care for the Glacier guards and reused my Stag M4 handguard without any problems. I posted this very question a while back with no replies.... I guess it was just to new at the time. I was really thinking about buying one but now my interest switched to the new Osprey Defense piston unit. The Osprey unit seems to install faster and easier. Iam not putting down TNW in anyway, but then again the Osprey is almost double the price of the TNW. Just my .02 cents.

I'm interested in these, but I don't know if they fit under the DD FF two piece HG.  I've emailed them.

Well Im interested in one for my AR47 in 7.62x39.  I asked about using it on a 7.62x39 upper and they said it would work.  We shall see.

I emailed TNW about a quad rail and it took about a month for them to reply.  TNW said they were coming out with at carbine handguard in early 2010.  As to what other rails fit?  I've only seen on posting about it here and it looked like some major grining to me  David

Here is a list of the handguards that I've installed the system with.

Daniels Defense Mk18 RIS II Minor clearance work with a mill, can be done with a dremel if care is taken.

VLTOR CASV no modification necessary

ARMS Mount model 58 no modification

Knight Armament RAS II 20214 Heavy mill work and modification.

I've had this system installed on my rifle for a little over a year now with about 1,200 rounds through it without a malfunction.
