You going to offer the upper on it's own? Sweet looking rifle by the way! http://militarytimes.com/blogs/gearscout/files/2013/01/DDM4_ISR-2w.jpg "The guns are going to be sold as complete guns with no option to buy just an upper receiver group. At least not initially, Jordan said." |

Hotlink!
Daniel Defense will release their first suppressor product next week at SHOT Show. The Integrally Suppressed Rifle (ISR) is an AR built on a pistol length gas system chambered in 300 AAC. It’s business end features a 10.3″ cold hammer forged barrel with a 5.7″ permanently mounted sound suppressor that brings the overall barrel length to 16.145″.
Daniel Defense looked at the popularity of 300AAC Blackout offerings across the market and realized that the ISR was an elegant way to combine the best characteristics of the round into one platform. The ISR is was not built to compete in a military contract, it was conceived, designed and built for the commercial market, though Daniel Defense anticipates interest from the military. That looks and sounds great! |

I always wondered, how do you clean the can when it's pinned? Do the baffles remove from the front instead of the rear of the can? Or does the sleeve only remove? Article says "Maintenance should be straight forward, as the baffle core is removable." Doesn't elaborate but at least it is serviceable. |

All of the videos I have seen from media day were of the ISR on a full auto lower. Is the $3200 for the full auto version? In what I have read it hasn't been specified. I'm pretty sure the price is for a semi auto, since it's marketed to civilians. The full auto is just a demo to show how quiet it is even at full speed. There are other videos of the ISR and they mention that price. Maybe the .mil and LEOs can get a full auto at the same price, but not us mere mortals. But I am wondering, since it's the MSRP, how close will that be to the street price? Assuming the current panic buying finally subsides. |

Shot the gun at SHOT and was hugely impressed. Just got back from DD where I sat down with designer Lee Thompson to discuss design parameters for ISR (will have video of that interview up on DRTV in a couple of weeks, BTW)..
I'm sold. Am buying one destined to be the "house carbine;" will also feature on an upcoming SHOOTING GALLERY ep... Michael B |
