It may be a fine product but staggering the height of your mags makes no sense as it makes it harder to mono pod off of them. You get a wider foot print when you mount them at the same height.

Looks better in pictures and makes it easier to see, at a glance, that there are 2 mags coupled.

I don't think they are selling the tactics, just the coupler.

It does make sense to figure out what works best with your gun and roll with it.

As you can see in the pics below, there can be issues with magazines not being staggered in a dual mag clamp.

What is the advantage to these over the Magpul plastic ones (that are nearly $10 less)?

I see the pics but that is not an issue. For starters you always put your spare mag to the left and even if you don't it will still eject and function fine the way it is in the pic. (tested it myself  to see if it would cause a problem.) Using the mags staggered is retarded as you are not taking advantage of a great benefit to coupled mags namely being almost bipod like stability when shooting in prone.
I have been using Firebird couplers for years now in three gun and I have them issued at work to my guys.

One thing I don't like about designs like yours is the mags can slip if they are not tightened properly with the Firebird it replaces the bottom so there is no mag slipping at all. In fairness I have not tested your product to see how it works. I hope it sells well for you my main comment was on the poor set up with the mags being staggered.

I hope the "these are metal" logic is meant as a joke. We are after all talking about plastic magazines so the metal argument is kind pointless.

Those are nice. I went to their site(Firebird) and checked them out, they are kind of exspensive, but the design is great. I think they should consider making a polymer version of these and they could cut the price down, if you could get these for $20-25 in the same color and polymer as your PMAGs would you buy anything else?

Those look exactly like the Choate couplers. I have a Choate one, and I love it.
