i bought a built retro and used this dpms upper receiver to make my own custom built. i noticed that it is uneven on the bottom. the dust cover side is a tad bit smaller than the other side. this makes my bottom receiver stick out a little bit on the right side and doesnt sit flush. currently it is on my colt le6920 lower. just curious if others have had this problem with dpms c7 uppers.
this made me look around for other c7 uppers to see if they had similar problems. i noticed that r guns sold a similar receiver with the splinted A symbol....but im guessing its the same as the dpms upper. and Pk arms sells c7 uppers as well....im gonna look into Pk c7 uppers! but yea just curious on the built of the c7 uppers. |

My DPMS C7 upper has the opposite; the upper on the ejection port side actually overhangs a tad. It hasn't affected function whatsoever. I'm using an Anderson lower for reference.
ETA: Can you link to the C7 uppers on the PK site? I'm having trouble navigating it. |

i called pk firearms today to see if these were their own made uppers, but they said that they ordered it from a different manufacturer. seeing the splintered a on the c7 receiver on their website makes me think its prob just a DPMS upper. not in stock anymore tho...... |
