[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Retro buffer help

Ive got a buffer that I found and its all black but its also round. Cant find anyting about it so I dont know if its period correct or not. Also, for some reason, Im not able to post a pic. Anyone see one of these before? Thanks

Almost all GI buffers I have seen have been various shades of gold. I have seen some all black but they were modern commercial variants.

if you're talking about a carbine buffer, i've seen some full round black ones. pretty sure they are commercial ones.

Black plastic standard looking carbine buffer is an older commercial one.

Edit: When you select a picture with the "select file" button, you have to hit "upload" after, it will insert an img code automatically into the text box, hit "submit", your photo will appear

Some of the Colt HBAR Target A2 models from the late 80's or early 90's came with those...Rifle length, black plastic exterior, I've only seen them in that era of Colt.
