I bought the FSB below. I should have noticed there being no pin holes so anyway when I get it home it is in pretty decent shape but the pin holes have been welded. I bought this to build my 607. The seller said it was all original but not so much. I did not buy this off EE.

As you can see there pin  holes had been originally drilled though but now with them being partially welded I just can't imagine that it will be  easy to fit this to any barrel much less one that already has been drilled for a FSB.

Do I have any decent chance of reclaiming this or do I just have a cool (and expensive) paperweight. ?

Many thanks

Send it to JT. Looks good to me.  I can take it off your hands if you don't want it!

I was thinking JT. I would typically attempt to reclaim something like this myself but these seem to getting pretty hard to come by without being on a $500 barrel so I am being extra cautious.

Does John Lurk here and if so maybe he could chime in.

reclaim on any barrel or just one that has never been pinned?

I have a colt heavy barrel that could be re-contoured and the prior sight base holes welded up and re-drilled and since there will be no barrel past the FSB to speak of I guess I do not have to worry about barrel warp.

Yes, I can take care of mounting that.  No problem at all; I do them all the time.  Email or call me if you want to discuss.

JT IS the the one who welded the holes closed on THIS front sight after I had him remove it from my barrel - I assume he does this to make it easier to reinstall the sight onto a new barrel

Sounds like no worries.

This FSB is generally just what I was looking for so it looks like I am moving on to being that much closer to finishing my 607 build.

I just got the word back from Braceman today that he is shipping my engraved lower for the 607.(also had him do a 733 and an XM177e2)

I will get pics out when I receive them back.

Thanks all
