Picked this up recently for another project. I think it's an H&R upper, but I'd love to get better info from those who know more than I do. Is this the original finish, or has it been refinished? It only has the rear flash.

Looks like a GM sight wheel for sure. Can you post a picture of the front of the carry handle?  I'm pretty positive she's a Hydramatic  upper.

Here's a shot of the front of the carry handle. Not the best, but I'm out of town this weekend and won't be able to take any more pictures until Monday.



What is the difference between a GM and an H&R sight wheel? I haven't seen any info about that. Is there anything specific I should look for in the arrow markings by the rear sight to determine manufacturer?

Didn't notice the LLLSS rear sight, either. Too bad I don't have the front sight for it.

For me the giveaway for ID'ing a GM wheel is the way the 3 is stamped and the color in comparing it to a Colt. I can't give you information on HRA stuff............still learning.
