Here's mine. I am wondering if my upper is correct, or what I should be looking for. Early square forge 603? I don't want to do a slickside upper, I like the look of the forward assist.
It has a chrome slickside bolt carrier. Kind of silly with the forward assist on the upper, right? The grip and carrier I found in a box of retro parts, I am assuming they are original. 
I re-profiled a receiver, screwed up on the cutout for the detent, had it filled in, but I have not recut it yet. I stopped once I figured out that I can't send it out for stamping and anodizing if I already milled out the rest of it. Oh well, time to order another one. 
I have a machined front sight I will install once I sbr it with a different bbl. I can remember who made this, but it is not a colt.
