Nice looking gat. Is the best way to go on a non-SBR a repro flash can pinned & welded, or a nearly 16" w/ a repro sleeve pinned & welded? Either way would work but pinned /welded looks better IMO. Quoted:
Looks good. What kind of finish are you planning on? Aluma-hyde dark park grey to match the upper. |
| Nice. Originals are really overrated. We had them on some of our GAU-5/A/As in the Security Police. That got all crudded-up and plug-up with carbon. We would soak them in something (I can't remember what) to clean them out, but it filled up quickly, it seemed. Most we just put bird cages on them! |

Very nice! Care to share some more details of your build? Who made the moderator? NDS-51 80% M16A1 lower. NDS-45 2-position CAR buffer tube. Unknown CAR buttstock. Late sixty's Colt upper. Colt BCG. Colt six hole handguards. Lower parts are a mix of Rock River and Colt. The moderator and barrel I got from another member here. It's not marked but was told it has a 1/12 twist. The moderator looks similar to the one on my other upper which was bought from AR15sport Here

Just wondering....Has the upper already been coated in the Aluma-Hyde? If so it looks nice. Quoted:

The upper is already done in dark park grey. It looks a little greenish probably because of the green mat and my camera is not so good(operator error) .

That kind of looks like a 11.5" with a 5.5" mod. Both moderators are 4.8 |
