Guys, I scored at our local show today. I got a brand new in plastic n marked fiberlite stock with tube, castle nut, retainer plate, spring and buffer for 20$. It didn't have a price tag on it, and I was on my way out and stopped by a guy's table and saw the stock. Picked up the bag, checked for the N marking, expecting it to be a clone stock, and it actually had the N marked on it. I asked the guy, how much do you want for this stock? He said 20$. Almost broke my arm getting my wallet out so fast. Good deals, although more and more rare, can still be had. Keep searching.
I would kinda feel bad opening it. " />

| You're probably right, I didn't think of that until I had already left. Occasionally I have run across people who were just tired of taking the same stuff to the shows each month. Last year I got a pair of used 6 hole handguards for 5$ which were in a guy's bargain bin for a while with no offers. |
Yeah OP well one time I was at a gun show and a guy paid me $20 to take his like new in package N marked CAR stock, so there!
J/k, really well done OP. I was thrilled to get just the stock in the EE for $35 recently, has a little wear but is still in great shape. You did extremely well as you obviously know. |

Just opened the package and it's a 4 position tube. So far, all I have ever used were 6 position tubes. Anyone know if there is a specific model a 4 position tube should be used on? Early m4, pencil barrel car15 (629/630 iirc)? Colt still uses the 4pos stock assy. They have never used a 6pos tube, except on some Canadian rifles IIRC. |

Very nice find!!
I purchased a NIW assembly like yours during the AWB period between 1994-2004 for my NIB "blue box" Colt AR-15 9mm carbine. I really wanted to add that feature to this rifle and during the time of the AWB, everything that was considered "evil" features brought a high price. Long story short, I found what I wanted and had to pay out the nose for it. Man, I DON'T miss those days of artificially inflated prices. Wait a minute....sounds very familiar to current ammo prices. |
