specs double star lower colt rec extention with colt car stock unknow lpk/ jp springs colt a2 grip orlite mag no forge c7 upper colt fa bcg double star pencil barrel 1/9 twist a1 hider idf 6 hole hgs one is painted green silent sling unknown colt think ammo was mostly tula 55 steel case and some 55gr brass I was very impressed with groups at 25 yards had several 3 round groups touching, at 50 yards opened slightly to 1.5 inch and some that touched. very light weapon was most comfortable with stock all the way out. when I was done sighting it in I slapped the 16 lower and did a 30 mag dump. worked nice. sorry I had no one to film. |

Now all you need is to chop the barrel down, a Field Expidiant Sling and get some Green and Black Bands or the complete IDF AR/M16 kit from Zahal. They offer 2 types of slings in the kit and it comes with a FSB sling mount that loops through itself and has a few different types of sling attachments, one for fixed stocks, etc. Last time I bought one of the kits, they were on sale for $26.00 shipped, even it it's a few bucks more, it's totally worth it.....there must be $50-$60 of accessories in the kit including the HG, Stock, and Magazine Bands.
Also some of the Orelite Mags have issues locking up tight in the magwell, it's an easy fix.... just dremel out the plastic square that the mag catch sinks into, after that they are actually very good mags, I like the E Landers stamped Made in Israel 30 round mags better.....They are made by Mako as is most of the IDF M16/AR15 accessories. |
