Today, my Rubber Duck has a proper teardrop forward assist installed, complete with spring. It actually works like it should. It is too bad that the chamber was plugged. Oh well. I enjoy being the owner of a fantastic Rubber Duck.

There's an A1 rubber duck with A2 HGs on ebay for $195 right now. It's listed as an A2 IIRC.

I will eventually have this wall-mounted in my home office. I am just glad to have the upper looking as it should. BTW, the forward assist, if you want to call it that, that was in it, was nothing more than a piece of plastic that was whittled down to fit in the hole. On the outward appearance, it resembled a damaged FA.

I wish I could find one. I had one of these as a toy when I was a child. I thought it was to coolest thing ever....till I built a retro AR.

Wonder what the whole history is on those synthetic lowers? I think you posted before that this is an example of the earlier type of duckie. Both types, this kind and the solid type are pretty nice toys.
