 I had this upper I was about to part out, then a local person was selling a nice Olympic lower with a unmarked colt stock, bought it for the stock then I remembered I had the upper duh! 6 hole hgs with markings on the outside.

I have been digging in my boxes of parts and found some of the pistol grips (A1) but they are not black.
Where can I find some like the ones in these pictures? I have everything to build a couple of these (IDF) except for the black grips. I will get my wife to make me some of those hand guard covers. Thanks Ron |

It's a lot of fun to shoot but no answer on my application for short barreled rifles yet. |

Yeah, I would like to find a set of those hand guards for mine but have never seen a set in person.

Believe it or not I found my set new in the EE for $45.00 last year. IDF used cut down 20" pencil barrels, so OAL with screwed on A1 FH is 13.5" with a 13" barrel. Wish mine was IDF length but 14.5" is close enough. ETA - www.zahal.org to order the IDF kit. Comes with all the bands, sling, sling attachments, Velcro piece that keeps mag from dropping. It's $25.00 plus shipping, money well spent. |

No, I forget who it was military gun supply or somebody. I got lucky and picked mine up without the black stuff from a guy trying to sell a rifle with it mounted on and shot him an email asking if he would sell it seperately and he did. Paid more for it but the deal ones were all gone by that time.
I wish I could find more of them as they are really nice scopes and built very well. |

As long as we are using this an excuse to show off our IDF-inspired projects.....
I decided to go with a laser-engraved SOD as long as I was having the SBR engraving done. 13" cut down barrel by John Thomas, Israeli-issue M16 SUIT mount, Colt N1 stock. I just couldn't bring myself to do the bands.

You can also order the mags direct from Mako which is what I did. Back when the mag panic was on they were one of the few places that still had 30 rounders available.
The bands were bought at the same time from Zahal but for some reason are slightly different colors and look worse in the picture than in real life. I don't actually care for the sling in practical use but keep it on there for correctness sake. |

I didn't use half that crap in the zahal kit, I pretty much used the bands and kept my homebrew sling on. I tossed the bungee sling and extra sling adapters in a box. I did mod the mag thingy and made use of the bottom part. |

Very nice IDF builds. I've a couple very similar carbine's less the Zahal IDF bling. Would like to mount nocturnal optics.
Can anyone tell me where I can purchase a few Israeli E-Landers 30 round mags? Cheaper than dirt for $9.93 each. I got a e-mail from a vendor this week for $8.99 ea E-Lander Israel Mfg 30 rd mags on sale but don't remember who. Thought either Brownell's, Midway or CDNN but I checked their www's and couldn't find them. They really aren't all that except made in Israel for IDF build. Probably between a C Products stainless and a H & K steel with C Products being on the bottom and E-lander closer to C Products than H&K. You are correct Sarcoinc had the Israel scopes for $125 5-6 years ago. They were quickly grabbed up. May have been longer than that. |
