I did post in the WTB section but I'm not sure how many of you actually look at that board. I'm looking for an adapter bushing so I can mount my SP1 upper to my NDS lower. Both Midway and Brownells are out of stock. Midway actually lists the part as discontinued. I found them at PK Firearms for $3.00 each, but shipping is $10.00 and you have to place a minimum order of $15.00 before the shipping cost is added in. That's ridiculous.
Anyone know of another source for them? |

CDNN Flat Rate $9.99 Better buy more stuff! May I suggest the following; TRUE RBRD dictates you buy this to offset shipping! |

You might luck out if you can find someone local with small sized bronze sleeve bearing open stock.... or amazon it. There isn't anything fancy about that little tube of metal. (They are close in size to some small electrical motor bearings.) Actually, there is something special. The bore is off center on the adapter bushings, so std tube stock won't work. |

Quoted:What a crime some company's are pulling on us. Seeing posts like this always rub me the wrong way for some reason. I used to be in charge of shipping / receiving for a repair shop that also sold some parts. Lets use our heads and do a little math because....the more you know The guy that goes and gets things off the shelves, packages it in a box, and ships it makes $16/hr. On average once a company gets done paying a salary, any kind of benefits, unemployment ins, taxes, etc an employee's wages are about half of their expense to the company. So parts shipper dude really costs about $32/hr or = $256 per day. So if shipping costs are $9 on something, most small priority mail packages cost like $4.50 to ship. Plus maybe a dollar for a small box and some tape if their using their own boxes (vs using usps boxes) So now our company has $3.50 per shipment left to pay for box shipper dude and any other overhead. $256 divided by $3.50 is: (rounded off) 73 packages per day to break even or about 9 packages in an hour. Could you get a part off a shelf, take it out of inventory, wrap it in bubble wrap, seal it in a box, and place it in the outgoing packages cart every six and a half minutes? |

Sorry to ruffle your feathers kid. I understand you go into business for one reason, and that's to make money. But I'll choose how and where my money goes. And $9.99 shipping doesn't cut it in my book for a $2.00 part. Let's not let emotions dictate my previous statement. Thank you. |

While I understand not wanting to pay 9.99 to ship a $2 part, shipping is not always indexed to the cost of the item shipped. In those cases where minimum shipping charge outstrips the cost of the merchandise, I will pay a dollar more if need be to buy the part from a vendor that has something else I really do need. Or find a company that has lower min charge to ship. That said there are some outfits that will ship a small part in an envelope for a buck. And some guys who wll send you a freebie. Shipping costs solved. |
