Anyone care to speculate on this ? What's with the "Q" in the serial number and the 5 on the magwell ?

ditto with everyone else that the Q is an 0 with pitting.
Poor refinish job. 5 could well be a rack number. Could be a poorly maintained Police rifle with new parts, a rewelded Mil scrap receiver that was not final finished, or someone's military bringback that was "buried" and registered by a CL2 or on a form 1 by someone. A FOIA would tell the BATF history on it..........................but Lamar usually runs into some unusual MG's in his neck of the woods.................................. |
