cool. i've got some with drainholes that have the nice mottling like your set. i've been casing his place too for the set i posted pics of. i have a set but the left side has a hairline crack and the mottling doesn't match like his matched set. try taking the pic outside in natural light and see if i brings out the mottling more. |

Now THIS is a 602: Guessing it's all bonafide too, except NDS? Almost doesn't sound right NY'er whistling Dixie! "Den hoe it down and sctatch your gabble" "To Dixie Land I'm bound to trabble" "Look away! Look away! Look away! " It's an early Colt sp1 lower |

It's an early Colt sp1 lower Didn't really look very hard. Assumption! Sure is one fine looking rifle and I guess that makes it even more bonafide! See the stock pin hole now. Should have a nice retro mag w/ block somewhere in pic. Actually is an 80% that I reprofiled to slab side. I do however, as Hal mentioned have an SP1 lower shares the same serial number as an original 602. Like I did for my 601,I used an SP1 sn # 49x, had Victor install a bushing that YOU CAN NOT SEE. This 602 will wear serial # 23,xxx. However Victor was not able to do the bushing work but did agree to anodize. He had me send to M60Joe. Unfortunately while his bushing is fully functional,,it does not "disappear" like Victors does. Bottom line,,my "anal meticulousness" made me hunt down 2 early SP1 lowers that share real serial numbers with a real 601 and real 602. 601s go from approx 101 up to 14,xxx. 602s go from approx 22,xxx up to 39,xxx |
