Bought a bunch of parts and had this little mystery guy pop up.

The spring for the disconnector is way forward, and that's where it wants to be.  Did some searching and I think it may be a 1970s SP1 trigger that used a "stubby" disconnector, as current ones are not compatible with it.
Is this correct?  Is this a piece some guy somewhere has been looking for for years, or is it doomed to the rubbish bin?  It pre-dates large pin FCGs, so normal pins work.

There is a "2" stamped on the left side of the trigger.  The trigger is otherwise unremarkable, but I wanted to include a top-view to show the spring.

The trigger from my 1976 SP1 had the disconnector spring like that, but if I remember right the trigger was also open at the rear.

later SP1s had a different disconnector seen here:

early SP1 FCGs had open ended triggers but that was only during the first few years of production.

That's it, and I reckon the hammer matches.

Disconnector nowhere to be found.

yeah the hammer is the standard colt notched hammer.  not sure if the disco is worth fabricating since FCGs can be found pretty cheap nowadays.

Do you think anyone wants it as a specialty part, or is it just obsolete rubbish without the discon?

triggers don't usually get damaged, usually disco's will wear out before the trigger.  i guess if someone lost the trigger but had the disco it would be useful.

you could always fab a disco from a newer one,

few minutes with a mil or a  grinder, file or dremel
