Are Apex and gunbroker the only places to get an original FSB, or should I just get a new doublestar .625 from midway?

I'm re-doing the rifle I gave to my girlfriends dad. The barrel I put in it had the sling swivel ground off the fsb for some reason when I bought it.

or the EE.  if you can find new .625 FSBs, they are probably F marked and don't have the C markings like the old a1 barrels.

Not saying this is what happened to your sling swivle, but I have ground them off when building a "Service Rfile" with an internal free-float tube for competition. The swivle then gets attached to said internal tube to take the stress off the barrel.

I'd get the new double star.  Comes complete with front sight assembly now for like $30 from the factory.

I have a spare "F" marked .625 if that will work for you.
UPS just delivered a matter of minutes ago a "Non-F" marked .625 from Brownells destined to make a trip to John Brace for my XM clone.
